English: For those that don't understand English, I'll be using http://www.freetranslation.com to translate my words into Spanish.

I'm from the USA & I just got into viewing the Corinthians recently [originally because my Brazilian girlfriend's a fan of the team, so I figured let me give them a try too]. As I'm slowly & surely trying to see who's who on the team & how they play [forgive me, I'm trying to understand the sport of soccer], I was just curious if there's others here that enjoy watching the Corinthians & what they think of the team. As of now I think they're a great team to watch whenever I
catch them on GOL TV. Thanks & hope to hear from other fans soon!

I'm a huge Corinthians fan, I just moved from Brazil to the USA about a year ago, and I'm really glad that Gol TV started showing the games, because I was getting sick of watching everything over the internet!.
OK, so here's what I think about the current team:
-Goalkeeper: Felipe is an amazing goalkeeper, whenever he's 100% into the game he's one of the best in the world. The only problem is that every once in a while I think he gets _too_ confident and ends up making some very bad mistakes, as he did against Palmeiras. In 2007 that never happened, then last year it happened a couple of times, and this year a couple of times again. But overall, I would say even with those mistakes he's waay above average.
- Defenders: Chicão and Willian are great defenders, very technical, not very violent, but not very fast too (as is the case with most defenders). Chicão is also very good at free kicks, and he's already scored 9 gols this season (althought most of those were penalty kicks, as he's in charge of those).
- The Left Back, André Santos is considered to be one of the main players on the team, he's great at attacking, but not so much at defending. The Right Back, Alessandro is also a very good player, has a lot of raça*, but hasn't managed to play too many games in a row because of many injuries.
- Cristian has been the only "real" defensive midfielder for the last couple of games, he also plays with a lot of raça* and of course, he's the one who scored that last-second goal and then flipped the "bambis". Douglas was one of the main players last year, but this year he hasn't played very well. Apparently that's because he's still recovering from an injury, and I really hope that's the case, because if he can play like he did last year then we're going to see a noticeable improvement on the whole team. Elias is the one that I consider to be the key player right now, he can play both as a defensive or as an offensive midfielder, and maybe because of that, he's been dominating the midfield. He also takes great shots from outside the area.
- As for the forwards there is Jorge Henrique who used to be more of a striker in his previous team, but I think is now getting into a different kind of role, mostly tactical. Dentinho is very talented, very fast, just needs to try to be more objective. And as for Ronaldo, what can I say? Yes, he's fat, he's old, but he loves to play and he scored 6 goals in 9 matches. that's all we need from him.

*raça is playing like you really mean it, putting a lot of energy into it and even being a little rough. That's the main thing a player needs to play for Corinthians, many of our best players weren't very talented but played with a lot of raça, and that's what made the difference. We also had lots of talented players who had little or no raça, and it usually doesn't work out.

Welcome Corinthians fans.
You are fan of the second best team in Sao Paulo though. Here you have a Sao Paulo fan. However, I respect what corinthinas is trying to do. Unfortunatelly. Ronaldo is a part time player and no longer has the body to take the pounding of the Brasileirao. He played less than half of the Paulistao and I think you guys will be lucky if he plays 20 games in the Brasileirao. Nedless to say that Washington and Keirrison will score more goals than Ronaldo in the Brasileirao this season. I am happy you are here to talk about Brazilian futebol though.

He played less than half of the Paulistao because he was recovering from his injury...
Anyway, I just hope he keeps playing part time like that, 8 goals in 10 matches, which is a much better average than Keirrisson's or Washington's...

That is the point. Ronaldo cannot stay free of injury for even half a season. That is why he is a part time player. Keirrison has better numbers this year (gols per game) than Ronaldo. After the games played tonight, Ronaldo has 8 goals in 11 games. Keirrison has 19 goals in 24 games. Anyway, Ronaldo is great at least while he plays.
